”It is a stink, a stench, an assault upon one's nostrils, like a combination of the aromas of roasting coffee, bovine urine and rotting organic matter."

resident complaining about Cedar Grove Organic Waste Facility in Everett, Washington.

EDCO claims that a facility in Everett, Washington  is a model for what we can expect in Valley Center.  The Cedar Grove Facility is NOT located in the heart of a residential community but on a peninsula called Smith Island.  This "model" facility has faced lawsuits for odor and disciplinary action from Puget Sound Water Authority.  The facility actually had a fire on August 19th 2009, from spontaneous combustion of one of its compost piles.  Not convinced that EDCO is bad for Valley Center?
